I'm trying to use Reshacker to identify the code of back/forward/refresh buttons in the Classic Explorer Bar. My goal is to animate some Classic Start Menu buttons when selected, just like back/forward/refresh buttons in Classic Explorer.

Is it possible by this way?

Problem solved with simple repositioning of lines of code. Anyone interested in opening this amazing Classic Shell menu with any pre-selected items, what worked for me is: ~LWin:: ~RWin:: Sleep, 500 IfWinActive ahk_class ClassicShell.CMenuContainer SendInput, {up}{right}{right} ;or a key combination...

I really appreciate your suggestion, Gaurav, even because that's what I'm currently using :D , but with other skin and icons. See in the photo that "menu 1" is the normal behavior of Win key, while "menu 2" is the behavior when using the following remapping with AutoHotkey: #IfWi...

Is it possible to open the Classic Shell start menu with the first item already selected (in my case, the power button)? I really do not appreciate giving three or more clicks to leave the workstation. AutoHotkey seems to be the way for me currently, but the menu class (ClassicShell.CMenuContainer) ...

In fact, I do not know if a search box with transparency would look nice. I believe that a very light transparency would make the overview more uniform and readable for SmokedGlass even over a window with high contrasts. But first I need to get this to say. And no, juniper7, I was not able...

Wow, many thanks! I use Smoked Glass.skin, but I managed to change the color with the .skin7 theme Glyphs. I suppose however that inserting the magnifying glass into the search box will require some more complicated editing with bitmaps. But it was very good without the contrast that distracted the ...

Hi.

In all Classic Start Menu themes the background of search field is always in white. I tried to edit this color with ResHacker but I was not successful, in the same way I tryed to delete the magnifying glass button or insert it into the search box,

unsuccessfully.

Is it possible?

No, the Seven navpanel seems more clean, organized and straight than XP. I would really like to have the same XP behavior only, namely: 1 - NavPanel button to activate/deactivate the panel (ClassicShell already has it); 2 - ExpandFolder button to expand / compress to current folder (ClassicShell sti...

Hi, Ivo. Think I can express myself better with pictures. See bellow, in Windos XP the navigation pane can not be hidden easily as in Seven, except by a hidden setting that I don't remember now. The default in XP is to show the key-locations in the navigation pane, as in Seven... http://1.bp.blogspo...

If you want the folder in the tree to match the currently open folder, then you need to enable the setting "Expand to current folder". This will enable the XP behavior. Ivo, I appreciate your suggestions, but I fear that it does not recover the behavior of XP in its entirety, because by t...

To expand / collapse all folders to point to the current folder is still necessary to access tools - folder options - checkbox. Anyway...

FOLDER THUMBNAIL - FOLDER TREE - I use version 4.1.0, I searched tirelessly e did not find it. This button was removed? What is its name? Hi, I found no occurrence for these features, so I am posting all together because I believe they are within the concept of ClassicShell and may be useful in the future. FOLDER THUMBNAIL I know that the Windows7 does not more allow customize the thumbnail of a folder, but it is undeniable that XP is...

I do not know if this is a normal behavior or a bug, but custom items that are placed as links to programs in the start menu don't have jumplist, even if they are configured to show it.

Since this topic is about folder thumbnails, I ask permission to extend it for the customization of folder thumbnails the same way as was done in XP. I suggest this feature for future Classic Explorer: let the user choose a thumbnail to quickly identify your images folder, instead of the horrible, c...

Hello everyone! I'm Brazilian and I must say that I resisted for many years to abandon XP. I just did it now thanks to CS, so I think Microsoft should reward CS because it made it easier migration to Windows 7/8. Even if it's what they want (third party to working for free for them), to lose users...
