I have my computer set to open files without extensions in a text editor. The windows update shortcut should show it's own icon, because it is specified in the file. That should override any system defaults. 4.1 had correct behavior. Thank you so much for working on this! I hope this bug report help...

using windows 7 64bit. My taskbar auto hides and is always on the left.

Microsoft Windows 7 doesn't allow us to toggle thumbnails for a folder. I want them off most of the time for performance. Occasionally I want them on. I could live with a per folder setting. I absolutely do not want thumbnails on by default. and sometimes I want them in folders that I didn't want it...
