You are right, separate programs for each function would be a mess. However, I think that the Up Button is not just one of the functions, it is something bigger. When Windows Vista appeared there were so many discussions about disappeared Up button, it was a real issue, thousands (probably millions)...

I am Installing Classic Shell at domain computers, and I want for each user to have this button. http://www.classicshell.net/forum/download/file.php?mode=view&id=1308 But for the each new user Explorer window looks like this. The whole idea is that user does not have so choose among any options or switch something off.
Just install a tiny app and get the Up Button.

I believe that the idea is not that bad.

Classic Explorer Bar can't be unchecked, it goes together with Up Button (in Classic Explorer set), which I do want to have.

But, I believe I got the answer.
I will try with the registry now.

Probably it is a good idea to make a limited version of Classic Shell,
which will only make a UP Button in Explorer.

I greatly appreciate all the work that has been done by developers and community,
but I think I am not alone, who uses Classic Shell only for bringing Up Button back.
