I'm using Win7 64-bit. I'll read the info at link - but in the meantime can I safely uninstall Office 2007? That would seem to be an option. Odd that installation of Office 2013 didn't disable it.

A couple of times double click opening of Word files in Explorer window results in documents opening in Word 2007 - instead of my current Word 2013. The first time was following an update of Classic Shell. When this dawned on me, and after tinkering around with file assocs to no avail, I uninstalled...
