Very often, you cannot remove thumbs.db because it is locked by explorer. It seems that the process updating this thumbnail database keeps this file locked even then there are no updates needed. This is actually a request for changing an absolutely annoying feature of windows explorer by doing it better in classic explorer :-) The width of the columns is never right.
