What happens if you press Win+X and shut down from there without existing Classic Shell? Can't remember if I tried this (assume you mean shutting down outside of Classic Shell) but I did see the issue when using the power button on the PC to initiate a shutdown. Can't reinstall at moment to test th...

I've also seen this problem over the last week or so. Since uninstalled (and no shutdown problems since) it so unable to do any more testing at the moment. This info might help if the same problem.
