Sorry but this is what happened: - I uninstalled Classic Shell and rebooted - I ensured that the Downloads folder and its Favorites shortcut were both there (I had to create the folder manually) - I spent half an hour going through Chrome's downloads list, clicking on items marked "Removed"...

I was using an earlier version, I don't remember which (because its install file was in my Downloads folder), and this worked well. I updated to 4.0.2 and now my Downloads folder C:\Users\me\Downloads is completely empty. Thanks. Have you put the contents somewhere safe for me? It didn't do this whe...
