thank you for your reply but still do not understand. i am setting this is group policy and using the offical folder redirection. i have verified that the registry contains the correct location in shell folders. what other area or setting do i need to change? as the current gpo works for windows 7 s...

Hi I seem to have a problem i am using classic shell with windows 8.1 and have folder redirection enabled for our start menu , this works for the windows 8 start screen but classic shell is still picking up the local roaming path for the start menu, it seems to be ignoring the settings in folder red...
