Sir,

My crash to desktop has been SOLVED! I owe CLASSICSHELL an apology. It crashed due to a BLUETOOTH shell loading on startup and had NOTHING to do with your excellent software which I continued and continue to use.

I thought it did. I reinstalled to test but uninstall only thing that fixed it. I will try again to see why explorer crashes.

Hello, I have done the registry mod and run the program listed but I see no crash dumps in the folder. Yes, I created the folder. Suggestions? No better luck with the program. Edit: Went to MENU LOOK-FONT SMOOTHING changed from CLEAR TYPE to DEFAULT... problem solved. Will report back in a day or two.-

Win 8.1

Uninstalled Classic Shell and crashing stopped.









Windows Explorer crashes repeatedly when I touch and hold on DESKTOP icon to reach right click menu. Stopped after uninstall Classic Shell.

Earlier you said touch? Do you mean you are using a touchscreen? Or clicking with the mouse? Do you have other Start Menu software running maybe? Thank you for your prompt reply. I understand. I do miss 4.0 not supporting this feature natively as this was what I found exciting. None the less, thank you for a GREAT product.

I read explanation but lack an understanding of how to change search window to use Everything as default. Please don't reder me to already read question, rather, explain in a more step by step fashion. Thank you.

Classic Shell Button (CSB) does not Close it's open MENU window. My menu simply remains or redraws itself once it has been opened by touching CSB button and I touch it again. I would expect first touch to open menu and second touch to hide menu. I have to touch outside the classic shell menu.
