The alignment is under control of Windows. Open any folder like Control Panel or Network Connections which has a menu bar and not the Ribbon. Right click the toolbar/menu bar area and unlock the toolbars, and move the Classic Explorer toolbar to the right along the same row as the menu bar. Then na...

I just read your announcement and just had to register to let you know what a stellar piece of software Classic Shell is. Although I do update to Windows 10 everything I get my hands on (and has a valid, upgradable license), Classic shell has always been the third piece of software (after Firefox a...

That site is safe, at least that page definitely is. Your antivirus program is incorrect. When you use that tweak from Folder Options X, it forces Explorer to use the older view control (of Vista and XP) instead of the newer control introduced in Windows 7. The differences are not that major. The s...

The ability isn't in Classic Explorer because as Ivo said, it also disables other functionality in Explorer. Folder Options X developer might have preferred the functionality of the older Explorer control, which is why it's there. There was a way to disable full row select via a Registry tweak too:...

Disabling it requires switching Explorer to use a legacy control, which has limited functionality. It will do a lot more than just turn off full row select. If I knew what features it also turned off then I could make an informed decision as to whether I wanted it or not. Do YOU know what other fea...

I hate Full Row Select. Some questions: Why isn't the ability to disable it in Classic Explorer? Why is it available (allegedly) in "Folder Options x": http://free-sk.t-com.hr/T800soft/software/FolderOptions.htm Why do 41 out of 68 scanners say "Folder Options x" is infected by a...

Update on this issue: I used "RegShot" from SourceForge ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/regshot/ ) to determine which key(s) change in the registry when I change the Active Border Width in Windows XP. This Active Border Width setting also changes the width of the divider between the Fold...

Im not specifically aware of any that have this particular change, but Im fairly certain that it is defined by the theme, if its changeable at all Thanks for your response, but it looks like not so good news! :( My big worry is that this is another XP feature that is gone from Windows 7, like most ...

what you are refering to is part of the theme you are using, not part of classic shell Thanks for your reply - that is good news. Are you saying that I just have to change the desktop theme to another and this thin divider may get wider? I just tried the "Windows 7 Basic" theme and the th...

First of all, thank you for this wonderful utility. I have just installed Windows 7 on my old laptop to try it out before installing it on my desktop and saying goodbye to XP. (Maybe :) ). While setting up various folders and shortcuts I've been frustrated by my inability to grab the dividing line b...
