It was the touch pad driver. Thanks for the advice. It is now fixed and am a very happy Classic Shell user. The developer of CS deserves a NOBEL

I have this problem and it is driving me crazy. I have deactivated ALL yet the charms bar still appears at random and also METRO. How can I stop this as it is severely interfering with my work. Please help.
