Hi,
thanks for you answer.

It's a no: hovering does nothing.

I read myself through all the options, but found nothing which implies why it is constantly popping up.
Am considering re-installation, but I thought to give it a go here, first...

Hi,
the start menu automatically pops up when I'm working with the mouse somewhere on the screen, even when being in totally different programs. Is there any way to stop that from happening?
