I understand the technical difficulties with giving glass, color control, etc. to the Metro skin due to font colors and contrast (among other issues). However, what about being able to provide the default color (dark gray) in addition to following the theme color? In other words, Windows 10 has the ...

Setting becomes unchecked. The setting stays saved as long as I stay logged on. A logoff or restart unchecks the setting.

Windows 8.1 RTM
Classic Start Menu 3.9.5 RC

As title states, on multiple machines my taskbar becomes transparent after restarting. I can go back into settings and check the box to disable transparency it but it always reverts on restart.

Please test using the color intensity slider in Windows Color and Appearance. I think you'll find that lowering the value causes the menu to get further and further from the actual color. This is true even when using the unofficial 8.1 theme and your recommended settings. Do you think an official 8....
