Grayghost.... I feel the exact same way about what I've seen of Win 8, including how to remove finger smudges from a touch-screen... something I'll never get.

I might have solved the problem. I uninstalled Google Toolbar, which I don't remember installing. The installation date shown in the installed program list is today, 8/16. What will happen in IE and Win Explorer if I change that value? I'm asking because: In IE I have only the menu bar and the Classic status bars showing. I don't want to hide those two.
