My feature request is an option that gives an ability to make "auto arrange" checked by default.

in 4.1.0 it's not possible :)

Hi!
Windows 8 booting speed is very fast (~10-15 sec), but if I shutdown the PC with WMI (Method Win32Shutdown) or "shutdown -s" than windows boots up like it was rebooted (~30 sec).

What function (and what dll) does CSM use to shutdown the PC? (Command: shutdown)

I click "unpin from start menu (classic shell) but then "Start Menu" appears again!

I tried to delete "%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\startscreen.lnk" but csm recreates it immediately!
how to get rid of it? : )

looks like my case : ) my monitor is LCD and it connected with a VGA.
It's old so doesn't support DVI : )

When I enable/disable "Disable Glass Transparency" it changes color. http://picase.net/i/30/WOihhvj0Fy.png http://picase.net/i/45/wtpyzEgu7B.png why? I want to disable the transparency and keep the first color :) any way to do so? one more thing, I can see a line, the line is more lighter ...

Look at the folder %APPDATA%\ClassicShell and tell me the size of the DataCache.db file. the DataCache.db is 11.9 MiB Also as a test make it read-only. Then see if that fixes the problem. That fixed the problem! I made the cache file read-only then CSM created "%APPDATA%\ClassicShell\DataCache...

btw, if I click the CSM button then opens the start menu and then if I click somewhere on the desktop or the start button again in order to hide the start menu then taskbar becomes not responsive for a sec! maybe that causes delays with some progs?

I want the searchbox to search not only in programs menu but in some other locations too.. for example i want to search in progrms + some other additional locations (e.g. D:\PortableApps\Shortcuts\")

is there any way to add some additional locations for searching from the searchbox?

I inistalled the beta :)
no problem with "pre-cache icons" now!

so, the cache is stored in %AppData%\CalssicShell\DataCache.db now, right?

What happens if you check the option, right-click on the start button, select Exit, then start ClassicStartMenu.exe again? 1) i uncheck "pre cache icons" 2) i exit the classic start menu 3) i start the classic start menu 4) issue disappears 5) i check "pre cache icons" 6) i exit...
