I used option 2 as suggested and no the CS actually opens quickly and I can begin to actually use it. I could not understand why anyone would want this when it behaved as it did previously - I'll also work on a solution for the corrupted apps (strange since this computer is only 2 weeks old) thank y...

I do not have Maps or Getting Started apps installed. When I go to the windows store to download them, nothing happens when I click get app. When I did a search for maps - the only thing my computer has was choose a default map app - when I select that I get the attached error message.

Do we know why those apps are interfering with CS start-up and how to fix that?

I have no idea what "getting started" and "maps even refers to". I had to restart the computer to recreate the behavior. But even if the computer has been up and running for hours and everything else is perfect when I try to launch the CS, it takes all that time. Are getting star...

For me, I need to click the start button 3 times and wait and wait before I can access the menu's. I read something somewhere a few weeks ago about how to speed it up, but I did not see that I have any of the time consuming options selected. Makes it not worth the use.
