I followed your instructions and my settings v4.3.1
"SORT BY NAME" is checked.
"Then: by name"
but still "random"
It appears there is no "rhyme or reason" to the order.

how can I sort them and make them stay sorted?

Its even worse with "ALL PROGRAMS". RANDOMLY SORTED with lots of 'apps/applications is a 'pain' everytime you need one.

When you use the SETTING for CLASSIC START MENU SETTINGS it is 2 colors, all grey. I can not find anywhere to make it look like the setting color.
I have tried doing it with the Windows Personalization settings but nothing.
Anyone know?
