No did not work unfortunately. Great info though! This was exactly what kind of suggestions I would need to make it work.

Hi there, It seems you are right. When opening the control panel, there are some items that are slowed down. Just fixed this myself, sorry for clogging the forum but, the explorer settings were not transferred correctly when the upgrade to win10 was made. You have to set the win xp or win vista style and then all works in classicshell explorer settings, which is a seperate settings menu found in the start ...
