With respect to this issue of keyboard shortcuts not being underlined in Classic Start Menu I just found out that there is a Windows setting that can be made in Win 7 and Win 8 that enables always showing the underline for the shortcuts: (Go) Control Panel > Ease of Access Center > Make the keyboard... |

Thank you so much! I tried this for "Sleep" and it works as it used to before. (Haven't tried it for Shutdown, Restart, etc. but will assume it is okay.) As to pressing Alt to get the underlining I would only comment that the letters not being underlined automatically when accessing the St... |

I am using the Classic Style (pretty much like it was a WinXP Start Menu). Hate Win7's native Start Menu and anything that looks remotely like it. EDIT: I should add that I was using an earlier version of Classic Start Menu, also setup to look and functionally of "Classic Style". With that... |

OS = Windows 7 Pro. x64 SP1 Classic Shell = v4.3.0 A few days ago I installed Classic Shell v4.3.0. Shortly following that I found that when using the Classic Start Menu the key-sequence I used to use for getting the computer to Shutdown, Restart, Sleep etc. No longer worked. For example to send the... |

Well yes they are as you say, Splitwirez. But you have to open the post to see that information - which, as you point out is not very convenient. The whole point of my request is make things much more convenient - and on that basis I would still make the request. I would be huge improvement to the s... |

The Classic Shell fourms website is really good. However, it could be improved a bit in the 'Announcements' and 'Tutorial' forums. For those fourms it would be improved if each 'Topic' had included in the topic title the date of the originating post for that topic (i.e. the date that the topic was s... |

Thanks very much for the consideration. Never 'met' anyone before that knew of the ext column for WinXP, before I actually told them about it. (Once they tried it they were hooked.) I haven't any kind of desire to move to Win8 it looks like even more of dog than than Win7 is (though I'm totally new ... |

For years on a WinXP system I used to have a great little 'app' that added an 'Ext' column into the 'sort buttons' in the right pane of Windows Explorer (default 'sort buttons' are of the type 'Name', 'Size', 'Type' etc.). Unfortunately that 'app' doesn't work in Win7. What that 'app' did was allow ... |

O.S. = Windows 7 Pro. x64 For the settings in Classic Explorer I chose 'Hide search box' (next to the Address box) in Windows Explorer. I'm glad it's out of the way as it takes up too much space and cramps the Address Box. Now I have a problem, how do I do searches of a given folder/drive etc. Does ... |
